Fin by Mo-ninja Fin by Mo-ninja
a shark boy called Fin... most of his equipment is stolen from fishing villages near where he usually lives. The fins on his arms are for dynamic steering and the ones on his legs are for sudden braking and direction change, hence why they point backwards (and are completely anti-hydrodynamic lol)

Good stuff! I like both the character and the detail in the colour. A very well rounded creation!

Ah, nice character design! It's cool that you've actually done your research (you have, thousands haven't!) on aquatic elements, and that the fins aren't just there for effect. Also, outstanding work on the background - the ocean looks seriously realistic, and i like how the mist obscures the landscape in the background.

Well, thank you very much. I'm so very proud of this picture, it means a lot that someone appreciates the work I've put in and can notice all of the little things.

thanks again! :D

p.s. if you like aquatic characters check out the 'fathom' art by Michael Turner

Not a problem! I think if you work hard on a piece of art, then you deserve recognition, and for people to see how much you've put in.

By the way, i had a look through your gallery - you're a very talented artist, if i may say so! A lot of the art you've been working on has a similar amount of complexity and attention to detail to this piece - it's clear that you have a lot of time and passion for artistry. I'd very much like to have the abilities you have (in particular, for CG work) - maybe someday i will, but for now it's cool to look to people like you and see where i could get to.
